I am a writer and filmmaker. I am interested in technology, music, advertising, the Internet, architecture, and book publishing, among other things. I edit Mediabistro's AppNewser blog and contribute to GalleyCat. I am a freelance writer and have published in/on: The Architectural Record, The Barcelona Metropolitan, Business Week, California Home and Design, Current TV, DMNews, Dwell, Plenty, PR Week, Russian Esquire and The School Library Journal.
I also make videos -- short and long. My feature films are inspired by the subcultures behind mainstream pop culture. Mellodrama looks at how a homegrown invention from the 1950s transformed the face of music production today. We are the Children, shines the spotlight outside of the highly publicized Michael Jackson trial on the fans who supported Jackson.
